United Turf and Track has recently hired Jerrod Simmons as a project manager for natural grass athletic fields. With a background of over 18 years of sports field maintenance, Simmons is extremely qualified for the position. Simmons is educated in Environmental Safety and Turf Management, graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety.
For years, United Turf and Track has been the leading provider in the Midwest for specialized sports construction projects, with clients such as Southern Nazarene University and Oklahoma Christian University, among others. The company provides numerous services for multiple types of sports complexes and athletic fields. Services include jobsite earthwork and demolition, drainage system installation, sub-base construction, track surfacing, and synthetic turf installation.
Simmons’ expertise adds another dimension to the company. The addition of natural grass services allows United Turf and Track to work on any playing field, regardless of the field’s type of turf.
About his hiring, Simmons said, “The best time to join a company is during a growth period and that is exactly what is happening at United Turf and Track. I’m excited to be working for them.”
“Being able to provide these services for fields that have natural grass is a great addition to our company. It means we get to serve more people and makes us even more competitive. The list of things we can’t do gets shorter, and our opportunities continue to grow,” said Dillon Ripley, president of United Turf and Track.
United’s natural turf projects will be featured on the website and Facebook page, so stay tuned and check in frequently!
