United Turf and Track is proud to announce our participation in National Safety Construction Week 2018! This week is all about how our line of work is held to the highest standards of safety in the Sports Construction industry. Each day will focus on a different aspect of safety.
Day 1 – High Visibility
Our workers are required to wear high visibility (hi-vis) gear on the jobsite. This ensures that they can be seen at all times.
Machines and equipment are sometimes too loud to hear someone, even if they are shouting at the top of their lungs. So a machine operator might have to rely on their eyes to see the bright yellow or orange shirt or safety vest to know when there is someone close by. Without hi-vis gear, lives could be in danger. Make sure to have some bright clothes if you ever visit a construction site!
